Nothing in the air but hands, melody and rhythm. Sounds, hot breath, loudspeakers and spotlights, that's what a Songslam feels like. Six singers/songwriters face your judgement, you reward them with your applause.
Everything is possible on these evenings: chanson, acoustic punk, musical cabaret or bluegrass-flamenco-indiecore. One hundred and twenty minutes of outdoing competition with handmade music and real feelings in the large hall of the home port. It's about celebration, fame, honor, liquor and a bag of throat gold. The principles are: no bands, no show dancers, no covers and especially no plastic. The country's largest songslam is moderated by the two Berlin slam and reading stage authors Tilman Birr and Piet Weber.
