Photography in Berlin – a hotspot for the best

The open, light-filled rooms of the Museum of Photography showcase works by Berlin-born Helmut Newton as well as exciting temporary exhibitions. Not far away, c/o Berlin presents changing exhibitions of major works of photography and exciting new discoveries. Located in the former Tacheles art centre in Mitte, Fotografiska focuses on contemporary themes. Galleries such as Camera Work in Charlottenburg also specialise in photography and are well worth a visit.

In addition, Germany’s largest photography festival, EMOP , takes place in Berlin every two years.
