Experience sophisticated, contemporary choral music in the Philharmonie's Chamber Music Hall: On six Sundays, 18 choirs will present diverse programs, each developed jointly by three ensembles and performed with impressive quality. What initially seems disparate—a school choir, a jazz choir, and a classical chamber choir—unfolds here as a deliberate exploration of diversity.
The TagCHOReaner, the Tea Cream Singers, and the Vocantare Berlin Chamber Choir demonstrate how inspiring it can be to transcend boundaries and connect musical worlds. To mark the 125th anniversary of the German Choral Association, a project has been created that makes the breadth and relevance of choral singing tangible. Each choir shines in its own style, but the combined sound is particularly captivating: Genre and age boundaries dissolve as all ensembles address universal themes such as belonging, loneliness, and uncertainty.
A vibrant interplay of folk song, pop, jazz, and classical music emerges—a portrait of an open community that has found its home in choral music.
