“Meeting Point World Clock” – under the motto “Three Choirs. Three Sounds. Three Musical Worlds,” be:one, the Young Chamber Choir Berlin, and tonraumfünf10 present a Sunday concert that makes Berlin the starting point for a musical world tour.
Inspired by the famous World Clock at Alexanderplatz, the three choirs take their audience on a journey around the globe – through 24 time zones, from midnight in Berlin via Windhoek, Delhi, and Sydney to New York and back. Crossover music from Namibia and Latvia, pop and classical sounds from India and North America, and folk rhythms from Australia showcase the impressive range of international choral music.
The concert concludes with works by Berlin composers such as Carsten Gerlitz and August Neidhardt – back at the World Clock as the symbolic starting and ending point. The result is a vibrant concert experience that vividly audibly demonstrates Berlin's diversity, openness, and constant evolution.
