Without a Home – Right to Housing as a Political Mandate
This contradiction reflects a situation that is visible in Berlin every day. Housing insecurity and homelessness are on the rise, despite public funding and numerous initiatives aimed at improving the precarious situation of people without a stable place to live. Why is this? What political decisions have led to this point – and which ones are needed to change it?
HAU Hebbel am Ufer invites you, as part of the festival “Berlin bleibt!”, to a panel discussion with politicians and experts on the topic. Together, they will address causes, failures and possible ways out of the housing crisis: What tools does politics have at its disposal? What is needed to consistently implement the right to housing?
