Every day, around 550 permanent employees and numerous guests on, off, and behind the stage contribute to the curtain raising at the Deutsche Oper Berlin – and the audience returning home enriched and moved.

Opernwerkstatt
With the OPERA WORKSHOP event series, the opera aims to bring you closer to some of these people. Not all at once, of course – but those who participate regularly gain insights into the diverse personalities, ideas, and artistic processes that make up the Gesamtkunstwerk that is opera.
The OPERA WORKSHOP offers the opportunity to engage in conversation with directors, conductors, singers, the study directors, dramaturges, and other theater professionals.
Each evening begins with a visit to a staged or musical rehearsal. Following this, the project in progress is presented – and there is time for your questions, so you can understand what drives the team.
