Susanna Bartilla

On September 11, Berlin-based jazz singer Susanna Bartilla will celebrate the release of her fifth studio album, "My Shining Hour," at her home venue, Badenscher Hof. On the album, she brings a swinging energy to the most beautiful standards from the Great American Songbook, as well as a few of her own compositions, which she is performing for the first time.

With her smoky, velvety voice, Susanna Bartilla creates a charming blend of the West Coast cool jazz of an Anita O’Day, the Parisian Rive Gauche flair of Juliette Gréco, and the sensual timbre of the “Blue Angel,” Marlene Dietrich.

Susanna’s multifaceted voice brings a select repertoire of songs to life, songs that—with just the right words and melodies—tell the very stories that touch us all deeply. The vocalist exudes a warm, intimate stage presence that immediately captivates the audience.

Featuring: Susanna Bartilla (vocals), Lito Tabora (piano), Carmelo Leotta (bass), Mike Segal (alto sax), and Kenny Martin (drums)

Venue: Badenscher Hof Jazzclub, Badensche Str. 29, 10715 Berlin, (030) 861 00 80, info@badenscher-hof.de
