The Medina Groove ensemble brings a vibrant musical bridge between Tunisia and Berlin to the stage at KikiSol. The focus is on the microtonal scales of the Maghreb, which meet the harmonic freedom and art of improvisation found in jazz.

Amine Gouja (vocals, oud) and Andreas Günther (keys, saxophone) blend traditional North African soundscapes with modern jazz elements. They are joined by Alex Gibson (trumpet), Amine Zghidi (percussion), Janco Bystron (drums), and special guest Habib Gouja (violin) from Tunisia.

The result is a multifaceted and captivating sound that bridges tradition and the present, blending Eastern melodies with jazzy improvisation. A concert full of energy, cultural exchange, and creative dynamism.

A special bonus: Translated song lyrics are provided for the audience, allowing them to experience the stories behind the music firsthand.
