Tear it All – This is the name of the new album by the Swedish band The Hanged Man. The album was recorded at Studio Dubious in Stockholm, Sweden between 2018 and 2019. The record was produced, mastered and mixed by Max-Måns Wikman.
Conquering one’s own demons and the pursuit of happiness and harmony is a good reason to make music. Sacrifices have to be made for this, sometimes painful but of utmost importance. Through change we grow, but sometimes it hurts. When a beloved, important person suddenly disappears from your life, you can no longer suppress the changes and the pain. You find yourself clinging to something that keeps you from moving forward.
But the tower will collapse and you have to deal with a new perspective. You have to lick your own wounds and let yourself fall into your sorrow. The most important thoughts about life come to you only when death has knocked on the door, and they become melodies and songs. The inspiration for this record is grief. – Rebecka Rolfart, The Hanged Man
