Blues & Roots
Black Patti - that's Peter Crow C. and Ferdinand "Jelly Roll" Kraemer. The two blues & roots musicians have been performing together on international stages and festivals for over 10 years. In two voices, handmade and uncensored, the award-winning duo tells stories that life writes in their songs.
Musically, Black Patti is based on the unique mix of rural styles that emerged in the USA before the Second World War. With their extremely varied repertoire, the southern Germans present delicate, artistic and touching roots music between deep black Delta blues, bouncy ragtime and soulful spirituals.
Their music moved the world-famous illustrator, founding father of the underground comix scene and pre-war blues specialist Robert Crumb. He designed the cover artwork for the current album "Satan's Funeral" (2021).
