Photographers from Germany and Poland engage here in a visual dialogue about memory, identity, and transformation.
With pen in hand, they trace German-Polish perspectives on a shared space of memory that still holds history and stories with the potential not only to better understand the present but also to shape the future together.
Participants will explore the exhibition and embark on a German-Polish search for traces. Participants let narrated, remembered, and experienced histories take root on paper and bear fruit. Even today, war, flight, and the search for a new home are unfortunately still a reality for many people—they give space to their thoughts, (collective) memories, and hopes, and use the creative power of writing to turn words into bridges.
The writing workshop invites everyone who enjoys experimenting with words and language. Participants will serve as catalysts and are open to drawing inspiration from others. Collaborative writing becomes a dialogue in which everyone can learn from one another and share with one another.
The writing workshop takes place in German, English, and Polish; participants write in the language of their choice.
