Fritz Lang's legendary science fiction silent film, accompanied live on the Mighty Wurlitzer theatre organ
Hardly any other film from Weimar cinema has left as many traces in film history as Fritz Lang's METROPOLIS. Fritz Lang's science fiction film about the rebellion of the working class against the dominant upper class in the future city of Metropolis is one of the most important cinematic masterpieces of all time.
It is also one of the most important reconstructions and restorations in film history and was the first film to be included in the UNESCO documentary heritage list in 2001.
