Kent Nagano, conductor

At his concert with the WDR Symphony Orchestra, Kent Nagano will interpret Mendelssohn's “Reformation Symphony.” He will also present a special rediscovery: a highly expressive orchestral work by composer and pianist Yvonne Loriod, which he found in the National Library of Paris, along with other works by his former teacher.

La Sainte Face – Das heilige Antlitz (The Holy Face) for soprano and orchestra will be performed at the Musikfest Berlin with Sarah Aristidou as soloist for the first time in more than 80 years. The piece Ein feste Burg (A Mighty Fortress) by Alex Nante, which premiered in 2025, will also be performed.
