Book Launch with Asako Yuzuki
Following her internationally acclaimed bestseller *Butter*, which won the British Book Award, her new book *Tokyo Girls Club* is finally being released—a novel about obsession, friendship, and the slow unraveling of two lives.
The event will be moderated by translator Dr. Katja Cassing.
Eriko has a prestigious job at a trading firm and a flawless life, but beneath the surface lies an all-consuming loneliness. She is fascinated by Shoko, a housewife who lives day by day like a cat and chronicles her unconventional daily life on her lifestyle blog, “Diary of a Useless Wife.” When the two meet by chance, a special bond forms, but it takes a toxic turn when Shoko suddenly stops blogging and disappears. They are swept into a vortex of obsession that leaves a trail of devastation in its wake.
Tokyo Girls Club is a bold novel, captivating and psychologically profound.
