Till Burgwächter, born in Gifhorn in 1975, works as a freelance journalist and author in Braunschweig. He has been a freelance contributor to Metal Hammer since 2001 and writes books about the peculiarities of rock and heavy metal. His published works include *The Truth About Wacken* (2005), *How to Survive Death* (2020), *When the Werewolf Rings the Bell Three Times* (2024), and most recently *Hard and Dangerous – True Crime in Heavy Metal* (2025).
