For 60 years, the Stiftung Buchkunst has been honoring 25 outstanding books annually in the “Most Beautiful German Books” competition for their exemplary conception, design, and production.

This year, too, literature and book culture are central components of the art and culture program at the PalaisPopulaire.
As part of this year’s “Terrace Talk,” one of the “Most Beautiful German Books” will once again be presented—a book that, above all through its design and production, offers immediate access to its content.
In conjunction with the current exhibition “Seeing Words, Reading Images,” which explores the intersection of art and writing, several panelists will discuss how books, through holistic design, become effective and engaging conveyors of knowledge and ideas.
