#RemoteCodeExecution

The world needs a reboot! The five hackers in this play are in agreement about that. But how to startle the masses from their lethargy? The first attempt has failed. Everyone has become inured to corruption, disenfranchisement and exploitation. People don’t want to be saved. Notwithstanding this and no matter how megalomaniac or naïve their endeavour may appear – the five nerds continue hacking with all their might.

They take possession of the thoroughly digitalised world, penetrate the software of banks and security firms, spark off anger and outrage with the most absurd fake news, beat the system with its own devices and cause its collapse. In keeping with the motto: "If you want to win, you have to learn from the people who own the planet, ruin it and then intend to leave it."

In her latest novel, SIBYLLE BERG takes trends and facts of our times to the next fictional level – and KAY VOGES, founder of the Academy for Theatre and Digitality in Dortmund and Artistic Director of Vienna’s Volkstheater, shares the director’s desk with an Artificial Intelligence. Because who can tell this story if an AI can’t? No fake, really!
