Groß Poyritz is located on a small hill between the current and the old river arm. And the old river arm fills with river water in the really unlikely event. Groß Poyritz has three main road connections, a streetcar stop with a rail loop and a ferry connection across to Klein Poyritz.
It is 3.8.2002. The river level is higher than usual. The last days it has been raining cats and dogs. Today, however, it is finally somewhat dry and the villagers gather on the square in front of the ice cream parlor for morning sports. The number one topic today: The zoo in Prague is under water.
1: You know what?
2: Maybe.
1: The water is rising here, too.
2: No shit.
1: Nah really and higher than we thought.
2: Really?
1: I'm afraid so.
2: That makes me afraid.
1: Me too a little bit ... But I'm confident that I'll come to terms with the situation and I think the others in Poyritz will manage too. I mean, I'm from the zodiac sign Aquarius and you like to watch breakfast TV together with crocodiles. A smart person once said, "An ice cream a day, keeps the doctor away."
