As part of the 48h Spandau Festival

Today, visitors can explore the entire building. The Gothic cellar and the historic church library are also open to the public for this special occasion. Guided tours of the library are offered throughout the day.

  • At 4:30 p.m., “Meet the Artist: Dr. Iris Ulbricht” will take place.

The St. Nikolai Museum of Reformation History is housed in a building across from the church, the core of which dates back to the Middle Ages. Inside, the old half-timbered structure is visible. The changing exhibitions focus primarily on church history as well as local and regional history. On display are, among other things, paintings, sculptures, communion vessels, church records, and documents owned by the church.

Currently, three exhibitions are on display:

→ Permanent exhibition:

Not Just Built on Sand. History(ies) of the Church and the City.

→ Special exhibition:

A cultural monument made of paper. The Spandau Church Library

→ Art exhibition in the museum café:

Iris Ulbricht: Drawings

You can find the dates for the free museum tours here.

TIP:

Before or after visiting the exhibition, the cozy adjoining café invites you to linger: under the shade of old trees on Reformationsplatz, in the bright winter garden, or in the half-timbered room with a fireplace.
