Presentation of new research results
There was a forced labor camp right next to the Eierhäuschen from 1942. What role did the historic inn play? The barracks camp was located on the site of today's Spreepark factory building. As late as February 1945, 17 forced laborers died there in an air raid.
Thomas Irmer was commissioned by Grün Berlin, the operator of the Eierhäusch and the Spreepark, to investigate the history of the area during the Nazi era and the fate of the forced laborers. He will present his research findings at the event. Possible forms of commemoration will also be discussed.
