Church in Wartenberg

On Friday, 27 February 2026, at 7 p.m., the Wartenberg Church at Falkenberger Chaussee 93 in 13059 Berlin invites you to a special chamber music evening.

The concert will focus on two significant works from the Romantic piano trio repertoire: Piano Trio No. 1 in D minor, Op. 49, and Piano Trio No. 2 in C minor, Op. 66, by Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy.

The programme will be complemented by selected songs by the composer, which impressively showcase his lyrical and melodic expressiveness.

The two piano trios are among the highlights of Romantic chamber music. With their passionate drama, subtle musical language and virtuoso arrangement, they combine musical depth and rousing energy. Mendelssohn's characteristic combination of clarity, elegance and emotional intensity makes these works audience favourites in the concert repertoire to this day.

The concert lasts approximately 90 minutes, including an interval, and offers an opportunity to experience the sonority and expressiveness of these masterpieces in the special atmosphere of the church in Wartenberg.

  • Admission is free, but donations to support the musical work are warmly welcomed.
