A DAY OF THE MEDITERRANEAN IN BERLIN

On Sunday, August 23, 2026, the Mediterraneo Festival will bring the Mediterranean lifestyle right to the Spree. From noon to 10 p.m., the Gestrandet area near the Jannowitzbrücke will become a Mediterranean hangout right in the heart of Berlin.

Look forward to Mediterranean street food from various countries: Italian pizza and pasta, Spanish pulpo, Greek skewers, Moroccan couscous, grilled sardines, cannoli, crêpes, and Portuguese pastéis de nata. Round it out with sangria, summery drinks, and select wines.

Live music, dancing, and workshops will keep the festival atmosphere going all day long. Anyone who wants to can join in on Greek Ikariotikos dancing or Oriental belly dancing. Families are also welcome—there’s a special kids’ corner with games and activities for children ages 3 to 10.

Mediterranean food, music, sand beneath your feet, and a sunset on the Spree: The Mediterraneo Festival brings Italy, Spain, Greece, Portugal, Morocco, and other Mediterranean cultures to Berlin for a summer day.
