In the opening set, the trio plays exclusively atmospheric original compositions with influences from Latin, funk, flamenco, and jazz.
Diverse and catchy themes and arrangements serve as the starting point for exciting improvisations and interactions among the musicians.

Guitarist Mauri Pous began classical guitar lessons in Spain at the age of ten and furthered his training at the Madrid Conservatory. He then studied to become a teacher at the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK), majoring in guitar, while simultaneously teaching himself and actively performing jazz-influenced musical styles.
His versatile musical career has taken him as a musician and composer through numerous bands and projects, including Jakascha, The Soulband Berlin, and Los Tamalitos. Since the 1990s, he has been active with his own groups Marge and Balance, and since 2005 with the MauriPousTrio, which presented GrooveLatinJazz on the 2017 CD “OléOnTheRocks.”
Bulli Reinfeld was born in Berlin. From 1980 to 1984, he studied double bass in Graz, where he met Heinz von Hermann, Bruno Castellucci, Florian Bramböck, and Michael Hornstein. In Berlin, he performs primarily with the group Hunting Island. He also participates in various projects with other musicians, including Rainer Robben, Joachim Gies, Paul Brody, Hanno Rinne, Niko Zeidler, Andreas Kerkhoff, Robert York, Michael Holder, and many more. He has been working with the Mauri Pous Trio for the past year.
Alexander Doll is a drummer and percussionist who plays in various jazz, world music, and soul ensembles in Berlin. He has been teaching at the Paul Hindemith Music School in Neukölln since 2010. Since 2019, he has been the drummer for the Mauri Pous Trio.
