Holy
Transmemberings is a poetry performance by Maria Constanti based on two poetry books: Holy
Transmemberings (English, 2025) and The
Lemon Tree of Ruth (Greek, 2024).

The performance combines spoken poetry with video art, and poems will be heard in both English and Greek. The event also includes the screening of the poetry film Both Breath and Clay, fragments of a ritual prayer (2023), based on poems from Holy Transmemberings.

Both poetry collections explore themes of loss and regeneration, ancestry, and the sacred, weaving together the corporeal and the metaphysical to map a landscape where the body, language, and memory are in constant metamorphosis. The work unfolds through ritualistic storytelling and dreamlike imagery.

The event concludes with a moderated talk with the author.

The main event language is English.
