Guided tour by an expert at the Royal Library of Sanssouci Palace with librarian Sabine Hahn, formerly of the SPSG
Together with the library in the royal apartments of the New Palace, this makes it the best-preserved collection of the six library rooms that originally existed in his palaces. Only a relatively small number of books were lost during World War II.
Former foundation librarian Sabine Hahn guides guests through the Prussian king’s private retreat and provides insight into the books of the royal library. This special tour offers a unique opportunity to take a look at the original library collection and learn about Frederick II’s approach to his books and the king’s distinctive way of handling them.
