On April 24 from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Admiralstraße at Kottbusser Tor will become a gathering place for the neighborhood.

As part of the “Berlin räumt auf” campaign initiated by rbb 88.8, the Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg District Office invites you to a city cleanliness action day. wirBERLIN is organizing and facilitating the event on-site.

Look forward to a flea market featuring secondhand items. There will also be creative upcycling workshops (2–5 p.m.), where participants can turn bottle caps into jewelry and old

banners.

At 3 p.m., District Mayor Clara Herrmann will welcome the neighborhood on-site. Following that, a roughly two-hour guided bike tour will begin at 3:30 p.m., combining hands-on activities with insights into resource conservation and the sustainable use of materials in urban spaces. On-site, you can chat with our environmental ambassadors about waste prevention, the circular economy, and sustainable daily life, and learn about local initiatives. Children between the ages of 6 and 13 can also design creative motifs for this year’s poster contest.

Want to get involved yourself? Borrow cleanup supplies on-site and collect trash around Kotti, for example at the Admiral Bridge or Urbanhafen. Stop by, meet old friends and new faces, and see how easy it is to make a difference together.
