Gallery Weekend Berlin

As part of Kuboraum’s ongoing series, “We Travel to Know Our Own Geography” comes to the Hamburger Bahnhof for Gallery Weekend, bringing together FRANKIE & Kelman Duran, Canzonieri, and Buttechno for a program of live music and performance.

The lineup features experimental electronic, electroacoustic, and contemporary techno practices, ranging from vocal works and composition to immersive soundscapes.

FRANKIE & Kelman Duran

Franziska Aigner works at the intersection of music, performance, and philosophy. After studying at P.A.R.T.S. in Brussels, she worked with Anne Imhof, among others, and performed with artists such as William Forsythe and Mette Ingvartsen. Her work has been presented internationally. She is active in music and performance projects, performs solo as FRANKIE, and has released several EPs. Aigner holds a Ph.D. in philosophy and teaches at the New Centre for Research and Practice.

Duran is a producer and songwriter, known for his contributions to Beyoncé’s Renaissance (2022) as well as for the film score to Rodeo (2022). He performs internationally and produces mixes for platforms such as NTS Radio, among others. His releases include 1804 Kids (2017) and a debut album (2018), both of which received widespread acclaim. He has also produced for artists such as VV Pete and has been profiled in media outlets including Rolling Stone and Pitchfork.

Canzonieri

Canzonieri is a multimedia art and music project by Emiliano Maggi and Cosimo Damiano that combines electronic and electroacoustic experiments with elements of neofolk and aleatoric music. Their performances involve the live manipulation of acoustic instruments, often using homemade or modified instruments.

Buttechno

Buttechno is a Berlin-based producer and a defining voice in contemporary underground electronic music. His work blends spatial, dystopian techno with shifting rhythms and textural soundscapes and has been presented at events such as Dekmantel and Berlin Atonal, as well as in clubs like Berghain and Tresor. Working closely with design and fashion, he has created soundtracks for runway shows, including his debut album SPORT.

On the occasion of Gallery Weekend Berlin, the Hamburger Bahnhof will be open on Friday, May 1, and Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Participation in the event program is free of charge.
