Marc Schmolling (Piano) & Ekaterina Tsenkova (Vocals)

Covers, jazz standards and original compositions in musical dialogue – from poignant ballads to soulful outbursts, intense and sometimes uncomfortably beautiful.

Delphis Orakel merges the concept of a curated, open bar with artistic impulses and invites neighbors, the independent arts scene, and friends of the house to come together. Get to know our team, and connect with the artists, and let yourself drift – through an evening without a set destination, but full of atmosphere.

Singer Ekaterina Tsenkova received her first basic musical training in piano in Bulgaria. She developed her singing voice autodidactically from early childhood. She has been active in the field of Bulgarian folk music since 2006. She was a member of the Torlashki Napevi choir for many years and has been a key member of the Bulgarian Voices Berlin choir since 2016, where she performs as a soprano, soloist and in leading musical roles. She has performed internationally with both choirs, participated in numerous festivals and won several awards at national and international competitions. In addition to her ensemble work, she devotes herself to pop and jazz repertoire and her own songs.

Composer and pianist Marc Schmolling works with renowned musicians from the international contemporary jazz and improvisation scene. In 2008, he won the Jazz Award Berlin, and in 2010, his trio was nominated for the German Record Critics' Quarterly Prize for the album Live in Berlin/Vol. 1. His solo album "Suvenýr" reached the top ten of "New York City Jazz Record" magazine in 2020. In 2022, the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra presented his suite "Excursions" alongside works by Steve Reich and John Cage. Schmolling is co-founder of the Jazzkollektiv Berlin, which has been organising the annual "Kollektiv Nights" since 2008.
