Marion Kraft is an Afro-German scholar with a Ph.D. in literary studies; she is a lecturer, author, editor, and translator. She has published five books and numerous essays on racism, literature, feminism, and the Black movement in Germany. Marion Kraft is the co-translator of an English-German edition of selected poems by Audre Lorde.
About the book:
"Weltenwechsel" chronicles the life journey of a girl on the margins of society who, despite the shadows of the past, develops into a self-assured young woman. Julia’s childhood is marked by war, poverty, exclusion, racism, and social divisions. In a "colorful house" full of extraordinary people, she experiences a time of security before unexpected events change her life and shape her future path.
