The stage is set for the book! The Kunstbibliothek Buchsalon event series is all about books. Maren Wienigk, curator of the Architecture and Ornament Collection, and Michael Lailach, curator of the Book Art Collection, will talk with their guests about new and old books.

Tenth guest: Artist Nora Schattauer works in drawing and painting on paper. Her work is a fusion of aesthetic practice and the practice of knowledge. Even in the variation of the similar—filled with a rich sense of movement—great diversity is revealed. In her books and notebooks, words and images, linguistic notations, and experimental drawings combine with dyes and impressions made through carbon paper.
With each book and booklet, new reflections emerge on an unusual visual language, on abstracted natural forms, and on the possibilities of their artistic representation.
We’ll be talking with Nora Schattauer about her long career as an artist and the boundless realms of drawing and color.
