The stage is set for the book! The Kunstbibliothek’s “Buchsalon” event series is all about books. Maren Wienigk, curator of the Architecture and Ornament Collection, and Michael Lailach, curator of the Book Art Collection, will talk with their guests about new and old books.

Eleventh guest: Karin Sander transforms existing spaces and situations within the realm of art. Her site-specific interventions engage with institutional structures and suddenly allow us to see—and sometimes even hear—the familiar in a new light.
Karin Sander uses a wide variety of media, including painting, sculpture, drawing, film, and photography, as well as 3D scanning and printing technology. The book is also a central medium for her—as a concept, an exhibition catalog, and an artist’s book. They’ll talk with Karin Sander about her unique perspective on the book as an art object.
