Guided tour for the Open Monument Day 2026
On Open Monument Day in Berlin, the Marienfelde Emergency Reception Camp Memorial, with the support of the International Federation (IB), is offering a guided tour of the normally closed-off grounds of the former emergency reception camp in Marienfelde.

Erinnerungsstätte Notaufnahmelager Marienfelde
For over 70 years, people have been housed and cared for in the former reception camp and current transitional shelter: initially refugees from the GDR, and today refugees from war and crisis zones around the world. Marienfelde is thus an important part of Berlin’s “infrastructure of arrival.”
