Festival for Contemporary Choral Music
The festival is dedicated to the diversity and expressiveness of contemporary choral music. In 2026, the internationally acclaimed composer Bob Chilcott will lead the CHORALSPACE Festival Choir as Composer in Residence, presenting selected works from his impressive oeuvre.
His work "Five Days That Changed the World" brings pivotal historical turning points to life in powerful choral sounds, while "Aesop's Fables" retells classic animal tales with lightness, humor, and musical wit.
The emotional highlight of the evening is the heartfelt "Oh Danny Boy (Londonderry Air)," which deeply touches the audience with its simple beauty. In addition, international choirs will present their own programs, bringing a diverse repertoire to the stage—from Ēriks Ešenvalds to Karl Jenkins.
With their individual timbres and inspiring interpretations, they will captivate the audience and make the full spectrum of modern choral music a tangible experience.
