The program unites well-known classics and rarely performed gems of the violin repertoire. Among the pieces to be heard are Fritz Kreisler's "Liebesfreud," Enrico Toselli's romantic "Serenade," and Vittorio Monti's spirited "Csárdás."
The program is complemented by rarities such as "The Canary" and the virtuosic piece "The Bee." Thorsten Rosenbusch played many of these works with his father from a young age, which instilled in him an early love for these entertaining and virtuosic compositions. He served as concertmaster at the Berlin State Opera (Staatsoper Unter den Linden) for over four decades and collaborated with conductors such as Simon Rattle, Christian Thielemann, and Daniel Barenboim.
He will be accompanied on the piano by Dr. Eckart Möbius. In addition to his work as a physician, Dr. Möbius is a sought-after accompanist for song and instrumental music and is also a highly successful composer.
Look forward to a charmingly moderated evening full of music, emotion and playful brilliance – a delight for classical music connoisseurs and all those who want to become one.
