On Sunday, June 7, 2026, Berlin and all of Germany will celebrate the 21st UNESCO World Heritage Day under the motto “Together for peace and understanding.”

In Berlin, a diverse program of guided tours, festivals, exhibitions, and hands-on activities invites visitors to discover the capital's World Heritage from new perspectives and reflect on its significance for the present and the future.
The focus will be on the city's existing and potential World Heritage sites. At the same time, Berlin's Museum Island will celebrate the 150th anniversary of the opening of the Old National Gallery with an island festival, free guided tours, and a stage program.
