Trickster Orchestra / Masaa / AsianArt Ensemble / Amir Ahmadi / DJ Ipek
Here, participants will have the opportunity to engage directly with exciting guests such as Erol Yildiz, Kian Jazdi, and Nikita Dhawan in a relaxed atmosphere and share their impressions, experiences, and thoughts on radical diversity and contemporary music during roundtable discussions.
In the studio, composer and pianist Amir Ahmadi will lead a sound lab with his musical guests and bring his self-built microtonal Claviton—featuring 31 notes per octave—to life.
This is followed by two outstanding ‘showcases’: With the internationally acclaimed Masaa Quartet, the festival explores the bridges between contemporary jazz, Arabic poetry, and lyrical rhythm. Subsequently, the AsianArt Ensemble combines instruments from China, Japan, and Korea with European string instruments, opening up sonic spaces where Asian and European traditions merge.
To conclude, the Trickster Orchestra will perform the new work “Lament Dance” by multidisciplinary composer, filmmaker, and performer Amen Feizabadi, before DJ Ipek takes off into a distinctive sonic universe with her hybrid sound mix in the “Orbits,” sending the sounds, encounters, and transformations of the three festival days soaring into the Berlin night sky
