Locked in her tower, Rapunzel longs for a change of scenery, friends, and adventures. But the "odd old lady next door" has arrogated to herself the name of Rapunzel's new mother and won't let the beautiful young girl leave her tower. Then, the young Prince Harald von Harzenstein enters Rapunzel's life and causes quite a stir…

This fairy tale tells a story about isolation, control, growing up, and love.

The adaptable stage set, made of foldable wooden elements, is a central feature of this production. Before the audience's eyes, the locations of the action transform. One thing leads to another. The protective family home becomes the unclimbable tower of loneliness. This, in turn, crumbles into a vast, desolate desert, a place of longing and silence, but also of new beginnings.

Puppet theater for ages 3 and up, running time approx. 45 minutes
