On July 5, 2026, at 5 p.m., the Sophie Trost Combo will perform as part of 48 Stunden Neukölln in the open space in front of the Kindl grounds and the Vollgut community garden.

Sophie Trost
The band led by Berlin-based singer-songwriter Sophie Trost blends personal experiences with social issues in their songs. Their music moves between lightheartedness and seriousness, is danceable, and at the same time leaves room for improvisation. Stylistically, influences from jazz, bossa nova, reggae, Latin American rhythms, pop, and chanson come together.
The band’s distinctive sound arises from their interplay: clarinet and vocals shape the melodies, complemented by guitars, bass, and percussion. This creates a warm, multi-layered sound that is both catchy and nuanced.
In May 2025, the band released their debut album “Into This World We Plunge,” which was featured on various cultural radio programs and has been broadcast on stations including radio3, hr2-kultur, and SWR2.
