A Storywalk
“Songs of the Partisan Women” is a multilingual narrative performance about women who fought back against oppression in France, Lithuania and Ukraine.
Through stories and songs brimming with courage, it links past and present struggles for freedom. The show brings together history, music and emotion, honouring the strength and resilience of these women, as well as the unbroken human spirit in the face of war and occupation.
Throughout history, women have taken part in acts of resistance – often quietly, often unseen, but always with courage and determination. “Songs of the Partisan Women” is a storytelling performance that gives these women a voice and links their struggles in France, Lithuania and Ukraine – three countries united by shared experiences of occupation, resistance and the fight for freedom.
