Marianne Boettcher studied in Berlin and Geneva with Willy Kirch, Michel Schwalbé, and Henryk Szeryng, and is now an honorary professor at the Berlin University of the Arts. Her concert career has taken her throughout Europe, to the United States, Russia, and Japan; she has premiered numerous works written specifically for her.
