Special guided tour with palace director Andreas Woche, SPSG
Prince Carl of Prussia (1801–1883) was the third son of King Frederick William III and Queen Louise. Unlike his older brothers, he never ascended to the Prussian throne.
At his summer residence in Glienicke, however, the prince devoted himself to his garden and his passion for art collecting. But did this mean that Carl did not concern himself with Prussian politics or attempt to influence it in his own interest?
This special tour sheds light on the unique role of a late-born prince in the Prussian monarchy.
