The concert spans a rich tapestry of musical eras and styles. Among the pieces performed are Josef Gabriel Rheinberger's "Morgengesang" (Morning Song) and his deeply moving "Abendlied" (Evening Song). These works pay tribute to the composer on the 125th anniversary of his death.
Gustav Mahler's poignant "Urlicht" (Primal Light) opens a gateway to spiritual depth, while modern voices such as Benedikt Burghardt's "Zeit und Ewigkeit" (Time and Eternity) and Pärt Uusberg's atmospheric "Õhtul" (Evening) lead the journey into the present.
The Hessian State Youth Choir is a select choir of talented young singers aged 16 to 27 from across Hesse.
