Musical theatre by the young North German Philharmonic Orchestra
Musikbrauerei Berlin presents the junge norddeutsche philharmonie e.V. with the unusual musical theatre piece nirgend_anders. Singers and ensemble members of the junge norddeutsche philharmonie use music to create a space where identity can be freely explored and boundaries dissolve.
Real stories meet arias and songs about self-discovery – in works by Gustav Mahler, Rita Strohl, Pauline Viardot, Richard Strauss and others.
nirgend_anders encourages us to develop, to reach out to others, and reminds us of the beauty of lived diversity.
With nirgend_anders, the junge norddeutsche philharmonie e.V. is creating its first own musical theatre production, continuing its increased focus on important social issues in its projects.
The orchestra network for young students from all over Germany sees itself as a catalyst for young ideas and a supporter of new initiatives to strengthen the broad music scene in northern Germany. The network was awarded the title ‘Landmark in the Land of Ideas’ in 2017, nominated for the BKM Prize for Cultural Education in 2018 and awarded the Würth Prize by Jeunesses Musicales Germany in 2020.
