After all, culinary traditions can rarely be pinned down to national borders: they are shaped by exchange, migration and further development.

From Alfajores to Amaretti, Baklava to Brigadeiros, Churros to Cheesecake, Ladoo to Lokma, Mochi to Marzipan – there are stories behind each of these sweet classics. Some recipes travelled with trade routes, others travelled with people, were adapted, passed on, reinvented.
Naschmarkt brings these stories together: with handcrafted specialities, with bakers showing off their skills, and with an open view of sweet cultures in transition.
