The protagonist, Joni Müller, grows up amidst prefabricated apartment blocks and quiet rebellion, longing and contradiction. Music becomes her escape: radio sounds, Western cassettes, and song lyrics open windows to another reality.
She bends the GDR to her will until she can no longer, and after the fall of the Berlin Wall, she lives her own road movie: stumbling through relationships, through cities, through time. Always searching for a place that feels like home. And for a sound that carries her.
