Iris Ulbricht is from Spandau and was a long-time member of the St. Nikolai parish. After earning her doctorate in aerospace engineering from the Technical University of Berlin, she held various management, development, and research positions in the international turbomachinery industry.

In early 2015, she embarked on a radical career change by pursuing a degree in art. Since 2019, she has been teaching and exhibiting her work.
