The collaborative concert project "Music for Commons Sensed++" explores the power of music to enable and experience community. The musicians, who come together in various constellations across national and genre boundaries, encounter an audience that can immerse itself in unexpected listening experiences and a transformed perception of space.
The concerts focus on music as composed sound: echoes, artifacts, disturbances, and the unexpected become fundamental elements, while melody and rhythm recede into the background. Listening becomes an active, evolving, shared act of decoding, in which meanings are not predetermined but are continually renegotiated between ear and world.
