The achievements of Michael Succow

Author and Michael Succow biographer Christiane Grefe has set herself the task of capturing Michael Succow’s “adventure of a lifetime” between the covers of a book.

His experiences and insights as a landscape ecologist, the father of the national park program in the “former GDR,” and a recipient of the Alternative Nobel Prize—all documented in this book—will be the focus of the evening. The panel discussion will be accompanied by excerpts from the documentary film “Wie geht Natur?!,” produced in 2025 by Kathrin Succow, an expert on nature conservation and civic engagement.
