The program views a wedding not merely as a ritual centered on marriage, but as a space for encounter where different forms of love come together, are shared, and are celebrated.

Various physical practices are combined with music and dance traditions from different regions of Turkey, diverse ethnic backgrounds, and social contexts. Dance thus becomes a vibrant practice of togetherness and love.

In July, the program began with free, public group workshops. These workshops taught examples of dances commonly seen at weddings. In August, free individual and group workshops are also taking place for friends, neighbors, relatives, siblings, and couples. Interested participants could sign up through an open call and celebrate their relationships through dance. Drawing on the idea of a wedding, participants develop individual choreographies together with the workshop leaders to music of their own choosing.

The party “KUDURTAN DÜĞÜN/ A Wild Wedding” is the final public gathering to celebrate love in all its forms through dance.
