For three seasons, Jörg Widmann has devoted himself to the most important clarinet quintets in music history – from Mozart to Rihm – at the Pierre Boulez Saal.

To conclude this series, Jörg Widmann will present his own clarinet quintet, completed in 2017 and created in close collaboration with his musical role models.
Works by Matthew Locke and Ludwig van Beethoven will also be performed with the Heath Quartet.
